About East King Cruise

As China's first five-star deluxe river cruise ships, the "East King" and the "Yangzi Explorer" are owned and managed by the Hubei Orient Royal Cruise Ship Limited. They commenced operation in August 1994 and April 2008 respectively. They are the best ships on the Yangtze River.

"East King" is fitted with Finnish made diesel engines - Arsela 8R 22126- widely recognized as one of the best medium speed engines in the world. Much of the luxurious interior is imported from Europe and America. The navigation system is supplied by the Japanese firm-FUR UNO and the satellite communications by the Norwegian Firm EB. The Danish "Hi-Pres" air-conditioning ensures a comfortable temperature of around 22C in every part of the ship.

The ships provide an international standard of comfort and service unmatched on the river so that guests enjoy a high-level of service while viewing the spectacular scenery of Three Gorges. The ship caters for all passengers’ needs. There is a clinic with a doctor on the boat in case of emergency.
